Custom Decanters

Picture
Following the overall goal of Ceramics 2, student are now given the task of creating a container that both stores and pours a liquid. This can be a tea pot, a pitcher, or even an amphora. Students will be shown how to create a teapot in class as it is the most complex decanter and will be expected to design their own.

Ideally students will create a project that is both sculpture and a functional piece. Otherwise students will be expected to make a set of 3 traditional vessels: a teapot, a pitcher, and a jug.

For inspiration, students are directed to google: Sculpture Teapot.
