Side Projects

Picture
The first week of the trimester is dedicated to reviewing old techniques. Students are given free choice to recreate and vastly improve a past project or use the techniques from past projects to create an entirely new project.

This is a student's first taste of total creative control of their own project. The week is meant as a sink or swim moment. Can students manage their time and materials responsibly? Can they remember the basic techniques? Or do students need some intervention or additional practice?
